Curricular Track: Chemical Oceanography

Research Interests: Marine and freshwater biogeochemistry; sediment diagenesis; oceanography of anoxic systems; carbon fluxes; sources, sinks, and fluxes of organic material in lakes, oceans and rivers; biochemical analysis of biological rate processes; and interdependence of chemical, biological and physical processes in the control of observed distributions in oceans, lakes and rivers

Other Affiliations: Member of the Carbon in the Amazon River Experiment (CAMREX) and the UW Global and Environmental Chemistry Program (GEC)
