JOHN L. BULLISTER
Affiliate Assistant Professor: School of Oceanography
Oceanographer: NOAA/PMEL
Fellow: JISAO

PhD 1984 Chemical Oceanography, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego

Research Interests:

The use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as tracers of ocean circulation and mixing processes; the use of CFCs to help evaluate global models of the uptake and redistribution of anthropogenic CO2 in the ocean; the importance of the ocean as a source/sink for reactive trace gases; the production of deep waters in the Arctic and Antarctic; degradation of CFCs in anoxic waters; techniques for the high precision analysis of trace gases in the atmosphere and ocean
