PhD 1977 Geology, Columbia University, New York

Research Interests:

My research focuses on using stable isotope measurements of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen to study various components of the earth’s carbon cycle. My specific interests are: Carbon cycling in rivers, lakes and the ocean; the fate of anthropogenically produced CO2; biological productivity rates in the ocean; atmospheric trace gas cycles; isotopic biomarkers of paleoclimate.
