MARK J. WARNER
Associate Professor: School of Oceanography
Member of: Program on Climate Change and PRISM Steering Group

PhD 1988 U.C. San Diego, Scripps Institution of Oceanography

Research Interests:

I am interested in the application of transient tracers to studies of ocean circulation and ventilation. I am specifically interested in the use of the anthropogenic chlorofluorocarbons to study a wide variety of oceanic processes from deep water formation to thermocline ventilation to changes in ocean circulation on the decadal timescale. I also have an interest in the circulation of Puget Sound, especially the role of physical and biogeochemical processes in the basin-to-basin differences in dissolved oxygen of the deep layer.
