Research Interests:

My research focuses on carbon cycling in large tropical rivers and lakes. In particular, I am interested in water-atmosphere gas exchange, effects of watershed land use on aquatic carbon cycling, and the net role of large rivers and lakes in the global carbon cycle. Other research interests include climate change, paleoclimate, and effects of land use and climate change on freshwater biodiversity.
